Before you can use the player you must create a BIMM Student Account. You’ll need your BIMM Account username and password to log into the BIMMPlayer.
First, go to Settings / Log in and enter your BIMM username and password.
Note – you may need to include “@bimmnet.local” at the end of your username,
e.g. [email protected]
If that doesn’t work, please try with “@bimmstudents.com” at the end of your username,
e.g. [email protected]
Once you’re logged in, go to Library and choose a song. Tap on the Download icon to download it. When it has downloaded, tap on the Add icon to add it to the setlist, then tap on the View icon to view it.
Finally, tap the Play button to play it !
Tap on the Band tab to select stems to mute/solo.
Tap on the Sections tab to jump to / loop song sections.

Download and open the installer file named “BIMMSessionPlayer_v_4_0_0.dmg”.
Special Instructions for macOS Sierra
There is an issue with macOS Sierra, where the installer file (named “BIMMSessionPlayer_v_4_0_0.dmg”) refuses to open and an alert like this is shown:
To open the installer, right-click (or control-click) on the installer icon, then choose “Open” in the pop-up menu that appears, like this:
Then an alert like this will be shown:
Click on the Open button to start the installer.
Running the installer for all versions of the Mac OS
The installer first shows a license agreement page:
Click on the “Agree” button (if you agree to the license conditions).
The install image will mount a “virtual volume”, then open a window showing the player app:
Drag the player into the Applications folder. The player is now installed. Open the Applications folder and find the player:
Double-click on the icon to open the player.When you open the player for the first time (or after you have downloaded an updated version), a download alert like this will appear:
Click on the “Open” button to open the player.
When the player runs the first time, it will automatically download the free song.
When the free song is downloaded and installed, click on ‘Help’. There you will find instructions for using the player.
Quicktime
The BIMMPlayer is an audio player that requires Apple’s QuickTime to be installed.
Before installing the BIMMPlayer, go to this url: http://www.apple.com/uk/quicktime/download. Then download and install QuickTime.
Download
Download and open the installer file named “bimm_session_player_v_4_0_setup.exe”.
You will immediately get a warning, select ‘RUN‘ to begin the installation.
Follow the prompts to install the player.
When the player runs the first time, it will automatically download the free song.
When the free song is downloaded and installed, click on ‘Help’. There you will find instructions for using the player.
